ONE STEP AHEAD WITH CMU RETURNS FOR NEW SPECIAL REPORT ON THE SHORT FORM VIDEO MAREKT AND THE MOMENT ECONOMY
Brussels, 15 June 2026.
IMPALA is pleased to publish the latest edition of its One Step Ahead report series, The Short Form Video Market and the Moment Economy, written by CMU.
The report examines the growing influence of short-form video platforms on music discovery, audience engagement, and monetisation, and considers the opportunities and challenges these developments present for the independent music sector.
As short-form video services continue to shape how consumers discover and interact with music, the report explores the emergence of a “moment economy”, where cultural moments can drive rapid spikes in attention and consumption. It analyses how these platforms affect artist development, fan engagement, rights management, and revenue generation, while highlighting key considerations for independent music companies operating in this evolving landscape.
The Short Form Video Market and the Moment Economy report is available to IMPALA members through the Members Only Resources section of the website.
